Ark and Shark

The day began with the carrying of the ark of the Covenant, or a model thereof, into a local school.

Here is an arty shot, my husband is the figure between the trees, with the Ark tucked under his arm. It does have poles, but you can not hold the poles AND take a picture of yourself carrying the ark at the same time!  Still the silhouettes look  slightly arty.

Here is a far less arty, but easier-to-see-the-detail shot of the Ark of the Covenant.

Today in Open the Book we were looking at 2 Samuel 5-6, the crowning of David, and the return of the Ark of the Covenant - a complex story, but the kids really seemed to enjoy the story, and the highlight for them was undoubtably David's 'Dad dancing'.

In the evening we headed in to Worcester, to The Slug and Lettuce, for the Christmas Meal for the employees, volunteers and trustees of a local Christian Money Advice charity.

The most surreal moment of the evening came when one of the money advisers completed the jigsaw in her cracker only to find it was a shark, a lone shark!

The Ark
and the shark....
just 12 hours apart!

I wonder what bizarreness unfolded in your day?
