Paddington Too

After the KHT's 'complainment' last Friday I did not plan to go to a wood.  This was unfortunate as she actually wanted to go to a wood. A nearby wood. A specific wood. However, she also wanted some retail therapy, so was relatively happy to go to town... I planned to do some food shopping, which would mean being having a lift home, in order not to breach the 20 minute chill chain policy. Once trained in food handling... Knowing that we would not be walking home, we took advantage of the good weather and walked there. Now the route to town begins the same as my route to work. Having gone into automatic pilot, I suddenly realised that we were heading towards work, not our planned destination. A slight route adjustment soon saw us back on track.

As it was a beautiful sunny day, we began with Pokestops on church Green, when we finally reached the town centre.
"Have I got time for a battle?" asked the KHT.  November sunshine, why not?
"Carry on" said I,  as she tapped away on her screen. Then I noticed that the Poke gym was vacant, so while she was battling, I took possession, much to her disgust when she realised.  We were joined by another Pokemon player,  first time I have ever seen anyone else play, apart from people I know... The KHT took over the gym and we adjourned to M & S, for the KHT's pizza.  For some strange reason this year she has more hours on the same course and no longer gets her half day and opportunity to have lunch in her favourite cafe.

We decided to go and see Paddington 2 and it was a great film. I will not spoil the story for you by telling you anything other than it stars a bear. It is also a film adults can enjoy, unlike some of the children's film's I have endured, where I have just longed for the suffering to end and to be set free.

Afterwards, we went to Wilkinsons in search of 'that-which-is- required-for-the-craft-activity-at-the-after-school-club-on-Tuesday to Noah Vale/no avail (groan), only to find aisles festooned with tinsel & trimmings, much to the KHT's delight.  Looks like a trip to a garden centre is on the cards at some point over the weekend. We will just have to avoid anywhere Santa is scheduled to make a stop, or risk Grandma getting run over by a reindeer...
